We are in need of High School Students to assist with Children's Liturgy of the Word:

Sundays, at the 9 a.m. Mass

1 volunteer hour each time you assist

Duties include:

modeling correct behaviour (sitting in stillness, listening attentively, joining in responses)
sitting next to children who have difficulty sitting in stillness
accompanying children to the bathroom
you would not be required to lead a discussion, UNLESS that is something you desire to do

We are in need of High School Students to assist with Confirmation Preparation

6 Wednesday evenings

arrive: 6:30 p.m.

session: 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

depart: 9:00 p.m.

2.5 hours each evening

November 8, 2017, December 6, 2017,

January 10, 2018, February 7, 2018, March 7, 2018, April 4, 2018

in the Parish Hall

Duties would include:

setting up the Hall with chairs and tables, materials for activities
participating in small group activities, keeping Confirmation candidates on topic
setting out refreshments and clean-up of kitchen afterwards
clean-up of hall after session

We are in need of High School Students to assist with Living Scripture Rehearsals for Christmas Eve:

3 Tuesday afternoons

December 5, 12, and 19, 2017

4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Parish Hall

Duties would include:

"The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light..."

We are looking to form a

"Choral Speaking Group":

8 High School Students to proclaim a reading from Scripture together

just prior to the

5 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass

Volunteer hours will include rehearsal time:

five 45 min - 1 hour Weekend rehearsals (beginning the third weekend in November)
three 1.5 hour Tuesday rehearsals (Dec. 5, 12, 19, 4:00-5:30 p.m.) with the rest of the Living Scripture cast
